En Normandie, on n’ouvre pas une porte avec une poignée… mais avec une clenche.
In Normandy, you don’t open a door with a handle – you use a clenche. It sounds vintage, and it kind of is.
“Attrape la clenche et pousse, voyons !” / “Grab the clenche and push, come on!”
"Tantôt" – hier ? demain ? personne ne sait.
"Tantôt" – yesterday? tomorrow? who knows.
Tantôt is a magical Norman time machine. In France, it usually means “this afternoon.”
But in Normandy, it can mean:

Du bazar, du bruit, ou… de la bouse, littéralement – A big mess, noise… or literal cow dung
